About Summit ElderCare:
Fallon Health operates the largest Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in New England and the fifth largest in the country. Called Summit ElderCare, Fallon’s PACE helps provide older adults and their caregivers with a welcome alternative to nursing home care. Participants in Summit ElderCare have access to comprehensive medical services and social support at a Summit ElderCare site while they keep the independence of living in their own homes and communities.
Brief summary of purpose:
The Practice Manager, PACE ACO will be responsible for the overall day-to-day ACO provider operations at the Leominster, Worcester, Webster sites. In this role, he/she will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, clinical staff and others. Oversees daily PACE ACO provider operations.
Responsibilities
- Primary Job Responsibilities
- Ensure PACE ACO is staffed per established schedule
- Interview, hire and train ACO staff in accordance with HR guidelines and FH policies and procedures
- Provides direction to and manages PACE ACO staff
- Manage daily operations to ensure PACE ACO clinic performs primary care practice functions
- Act as subject matter expert as it relates to functions of the PACE ACO clinic
- Acts as point person and liaison for all internal and external customers
- Supervise administrative staff and all day-to-day clinic functions.
- Maintain a smooth, efficient flow of administrative operations, ensuring that patients are served as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Ensure that patient inquiries and complaints are handled in an appropriate, timely and satisfactory manner.
- Purchase other items and services as needed for smooth medical practice operation.
- Provide training, coaching, mentoring and performance appraisal for administrative personnel.
- Other duties as assigned or necessary based on business needs. Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management or Business Administration preferred. Combination of equivalent experience and education may be considered Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in medical office management
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Medical office billing experience a plus
- Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Problem Solving skills & Sound Judgement
- Strong Organizational & Leadership Skills
