General Summary
This position is responsible for the supervision and direction of the Pharmacy Sourcing and Inventory Coordinators. Along with the pharmacy procurement duties, this position coordinates standards for inventory levels and annual physical inventory processes.
Remote Work Capable
Essential Functions:
+ Supervises and supports Pharmacy Sourcing and Inventory Coordinators through in-person monitoring, development of standard work, and routine coaching.
+ Develops standard work for inventory maintenance, ensuring availability of essential medications for patient care.
+ Manages inventory levels within assigned pharmacies and other health system facilities based off product usage and criticality as measured by key performance indicator(s).
+ Provides system direction for annual physical inventory processes and summarizes data for Pharmacy leadership and Finance.
+ Provides in-person and virtual purchasing coverage as needed.
+ Studies market trends, interviews vendors, and recommends sources of supply.
+ Ensures that facility standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of pharmaceuticals, materials, and services.
+ Executes on identified opportunities to consolidate suppliers, standardize products and/or improve product utilization. Ensures alignment with established system standards or develop new standards where appropriate.
+ Engages with Group Purchasing Organization(s) (GPO) to ensure alignment with projects, product conversions and contracts.
+ Provides oversight of drug shortages and other pharmacy related supply chain activities.
Common Expectations:
+ Compiles data for and prepares regularly scheduled or special reports, analyses, and statements.
+ Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
+ Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
+ 3 years Pharmacy purchasing experience Required
+ 5 years General pharmacy experience Preferred
Licenses:
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
Driver's License Statement:
Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
