Senior Network Engineer

network infrastructure. In this role the appropriate candidate will be responsible for a complex

network that spans across to different business locations including 400+ Retail point-of-sale, Head

Office and Distribution Centers located in the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil (NCSA region). The role

requires a candidate with hands-on knowledge on advanced networking, server, wireless and cloud

technologies to support diverse initiatives in our organization. Additionally, the ideal candidate

requires proficiency in network planning, configuration, security best practices and enterprise-level

solutions, as well as experience working with or collaborating closely with our external network

vendors and managed service providers. This role is based on-site out of our New York City office.What you can expect:Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Design, test, plan, implement and maintain our network & telecom VoIP infrastructure. Work

with external vendors, telecommunications carriers, and global network engineering staff. * Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose complex network problems.

• Upgrade network hardware and software components as required. Evaluate network for

performance, scalability, manageability and security improvement opportunities. * Configure, test, install and support network hardware and software. This includes, but is notlimited to routers, switches, firewalls, cabling, wireless access points and controllers, intrusion

detection systems, load balancing, Cisco Internetwork Operating System (IOS) * Plan, implement, monitor, configure and maintain a data network that consists of Routers,switches, firewalls, Load balancers, SDWAN, Cloud Infrastructure (Azure), Wireless, Remote

Access, Voice * Create and maintain Internet Protocol (IP) address subnet and Virtual LAN (VLAN) allocationand documentation. * Provide direction to technical teams to document and design requirements for projectsimpacting network infrastructure. * Provide with recommendations to optimize the network operations and performance.

• Develop configuration and implementation instructions for routine deployments and daily

tasks. * Assist with planning, procurement, deploying, and maintaining Hugo Boss retail locations andbranch offices as necessary. * Perform configuration of Cisco switching and routing platforms.

• Perform configuration of Fortigate firewalls and manage the Fortimanager console.


• Run configuration scripts for various networking equipment.


• Turn up small-scale network infrastructure at hub locations, with 4G LTE/5G connectivity,

including Cradlepoint routers. * Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain small-scale network infrastructure at select HugoBoss retail locations * Perform project management, communicate across teams, coordinate network managementactivities as required. * Provide Tier 3 support (expert problem remediation) for incidents and problems in designatedareas of expertise. Analyze and troubleshoot systems outages and/or degradation of service. * Configure equipment and services and support networks in various stages of deployment.Audit and assess network against requirements and best practices. Formulate network

management strategies. * Hands on experience with networking services, protocols & technologies (BGP/OSPF, QoS,Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (Entra), Network routing, switching, etc.). * Provide network design solutions/options, both for ongoing operations, optimization, andproject-specific system initiatives. * Self-motivated, willing to work in a 24/7 retail environment without close supervision. Analyticaland quality drivenYour profile:

• 5+ years’ experience in similar network engineering roles (retail industry would be a plus)


• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university


• Cisco certification (any two) a MUST – CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/CCAr


• Prior knowledge working with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA) and/or Fortinet FortiManager

management platform * Extensive knowledge of enterprise level, Cisco based routers, switches and wireless controllernetworks a MUST * Knowledge of Fortinet FortiGate routers and security appliances

• Experience deploying Cradlepoint 4G/5G Wireless WAN Solutions


• Able to interface with internal customer and IT Management to communicate complex ideas

clearly * Demonstrate advanced abilities to team and mentor and possess demonstrated excellence inwritten and verbal communication skills. * Experience leading or as chief architect in major IT network implementation efforts.

• Demonstrate a broad understanding of IT environmental issues and solutions and be a

The expected base salary range for this position is from $140,000 - $145,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained.
