Cloudera Quality Engineering Team is looking for an exceptionally talented Staff Software Engineer, to deliver continuous improvement of CDP and the other products that we provide to our customers. You will work closely with all internal teams to jointly solve complex problems in quality and development. Alongside you will develop a deep understanding of all networking and access technologies in the Cloud. As a Staff Software Engineer in Test you will: Have the opportunity to work effectively, independently and as part of a team. Regress and track the automated runs for a release. Debug system level deployment issues and root cause analysis. Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans covering functional testing, customer workflow automation, fault injection, scale and performance testing. Work closely with customers/field/support and automate tests for user stories in real-world scenarios with a good understanding of inter-product and cloud software and cloud networking systems. Build end-to-end systems by applying deep knowledge in technologies like Kafka, Nifi, Spark, Hive and/or Impala that helps build a customer workflow and new patterns. Innovate to build and/or improvise existing internal frameworks with latest technologies as and when required. Build strong relationships and collaborate with platform and UI engineers, other quality engineers, UX designers, as well as, Product Management, Field Engineering & other external partners. We’re excited about you if you have: Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in quality and development. 8-12 years' experience test development, automation tools development Technologies Design,build and maintain automated testing framework, tools, and automated test suites. Knowledge in Python/Ansible/Docker/K8S/Airflow/cypress or selenium is preferred. Good knowledge of Cloud - networking,SDK & Security Some level of understanding in various Hadoop components Good knowledge of test methodologies, creating test cases and test plans. Understand CI/CD pipelines Preferred Qualifications: BE/MS/Mtech in Computer Science or related field Good understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures. It is a plus if you have: Experience working on large-scale distributed systems Working knowledge on building application using or fine tuning generative AI models Technical knowledge of Hadoop components across the Cloudera stack is a big plus. Any open source contributions.
